Dear Diary - I need your help...

It's crunch time. YOU could be the difference...

Dear Diary, I fear this is the end.

I have 2 kids - Siena & Darcey - who are 5 and 3. It’s a cliché I know, but they really are my why. They are my defining reason for bringing Curv to life, and no wonder… The idea of their world colliding with that of TikTok, in the Metaverse, dictated by Musk is one that genuinely frightens me. In fact, I remember the precise moment this fear hit me:

My (at the time) 9 year old Niece came to stay. She was already stealing her Dad’s phone and watching TikTok videos. In fact, I watched from the other side of the kitchen as she decided to make her own video, calling over my eldest to join in, before replicating a seductive dance to a song that consistently referred to women as b*tches.

I couldn’t watch anymore. I intervened.

the reason Curv exists

Fast forward to today and we have created a different kind of social experience with Curv - one centred around joining and participating in the movements you care about. One that fosters community. A platform with a bold vision for the future, that innovatively replaces the advertising model, that brings global networks closer together, that encourages you to meet IRL, to get out and do, not just passively scroll.

the future of Curv

But we also have a problem.

I have, so far, failed in my efforts to land the funding required to reach the next level. To take us from 1k members to 10k. From 10k messages shared to 100k. To build out the community features that you, the community, are demanding, that will take us from pre-revenue to revenue making.

where we are today

We opened the pre-seed round officially at the beginning of January.

It started well - £15k landed within a few days and many more confirmed they would jump in soon after. But, as time went by, those leads soon faded, whilst new connections kept telling me the same thing - ‘love what you are doing, but you need to be further down the track for me to jump in’.

This was a sentiment I understood in principle, but also felt baffled by, knowing that so much money had gone into other projects that had barely left a Figma file when Curv was (and is) a live app, with a thriving community, with mega engagement metrics, let alone a vision that could, in my mind, literally save the world…

Curv’s Vision Statement

And that’s where the real punch lies.

I have run out of money to keep the project alive and am not willing to spend the money we have already raised unless we reach at least £50k.

This means a project that has been in the making for over 2 years lies in the balance and could now, soon, be coming to a close. Despite the efforts of some absolutely incredible people.

Unless…

With just £50k of the full £250k (SEIS) raise we can:

👌 Build out each of the epic community focused features planned that’ll drive up growth

💸 Introduce our exciting revenue model that’ll revolutionise the way social media functions

🏔️ Hit 10k Members on the platform and with it, become THE space that celebrates collaboration, and inspires collective action.

Sounds epic? I agree.

Now we need the money to land.

For this opportunity, that combines purpose with profit, to be seized…

Could that investor be YOU?

Could that investor be someone you know?

Right now is your moment to jump in or share. There is no more time left.

I’ll drop the pitch deck below and keep doing all I can to get this project funded.

Thank you!

It means the world that you have been a part of this journey so far. Here’s to making sure this is not the beginning of the end, but instead, the end of the beginning.
